A Walk in the park

After the France Bethel branch tour, we were delighted to visit the Monet House and the accompanying gardens.

Born in 1840 - didn't study well but he could draw very well.  At 19, he moved to Paris to attend art school and study with other painters (Reinour - shared an apartment).

In 1870, war caused painters to move to different countries; Monet moved to London. Saw different paint styles and in Amsterdam influenced by the Japanese print style. Developed his impressionist style.

Monet loved painting outdoors, gardens, sunlight and of course, his infamous water lilies.  Please enjoy the photos - a wonderful compilation of the work of the universe's greatest artist: Jehovah God.

Sometimes you just have to stop and. . .

Why is the French ice cream so very good?  Can't get enough!
